The Summer 2026 campaign for Debt Jubilee Project has completed! We were able to raise just over $16,000 to purchase and forgive all the currently available debt in FORSYTH COUNTY, with overflow to GUILFORD and DAVIE COUNTIES!
Shortly we will announce the exact amount of medical debt that we were able to purchase with these funds.

BACKGROUND:
Several years ago, Trinity Moravian Church began a campaign to purchase – and forgive – past-due medical debts owed by our neighbors in Forsyth and the surrounding counties of North Carolina. The Debt Jubilee Project has succeeded beyond our wildest expectations, and at this point we have been able to eliminate over $21 million in medical debts owed by 15,000 families in our area. The campaign has received national and international attention, and helped to inspire an innovative program in NC that provided incentives for hospital systems to forgive past-due debts and improve their assistance of lower-income patients. This has “shaken loose” some debts that previously were not available for purchase.
