We hope to raise $15,000 over six weeks to purchase and forgive all the currently available debt in FORSYTH COUNTY, with overflow to GUILFORD and DAVIE COUNTIES! Our challenge goal is $30,000, which would allow us to wipe out all the available debts in those counties. Can you help?

BACKGROUND:
Several years ago, Trinity Moravian Church began a campaign to purchase – and forgive – past-due medical debts owed by our neighbors in Forsyth and the surrounding counties of North Carolina. The Debt Jubilee Project has succeeded beyond our wildest expectations, and at this point we have been able to eliminate over $21 million in medical debts owed by 15,000 families in our area. The campaign has received national and international attention, and helped to inspire an innovative program in NC that provided incentives for hospital systems to forgive past-due debts and improve their assistance of lower-income patients. This has “shaken loose” some debts that previously were not available for purchase.
